HIGH FREQUENCY INDUCTION HEATING GENERATORS

These generators have two main applications: the first application is the welding of small pieces a few millimetres thick which, due to their small dimensions, are wholly immersed in the electromagnetic field; this allows a quick and homogeneous heating of their whole section, an optimal condition for a proper welding without differentiated heat areas; the second application is in surface hardening operations on pieces requiring a different hardness only in some limited areas.
The main advantage of the metal high frequency treatment, beside the operation quickness, is provided by the fact that the whole area crossed by the electromagnetic field flow lines is evenly heated, with no high temperature gradient, since there is no heat transmission from the outside toward the inside of the piece under treatment, as it is the case with traditional systems. In this case, the piece is self-heated.
Our inductive generators are classified according to the output power level, from a minimum of 2KW to a maximum of 100KW on standard generators; these can also be equipped with horizontal and vertical travelling device, rotary tables, special piece handling device for applications according to the customer?s request.
The triode is usually forced-air cooled, in order to avoid complicating the machine with water circulation. However, for high power requirements, water cooling remains the only reliable solution, while the output coil are always water-cooled in order to guarantee the long life of the coil/output transformer assembly (the only necessary measure is a periodical descaling or the installation of a stainless steel tank with distilled water and a recycling pump). The operating frequency can vary from 300kHz to 3MHz.
